Accellerator Reader is a reading program used at Harrah Public Schools. It allows students to test over the books they have read and recieve points. Each student will have their own personal AR goal. This goal will be given to them and at the start of each nine weeks. At the end of each nine weeks, there will be an AR party for those who student who met that particular nine weeks AR goal. At the end of the year there will be a skate party for those who have met three out of four of their AR goals. This is a fun and exciting program with lots of incentives to help encourgae reading and comprehension. I usually send home AR reports every Thursday.

We are currently going to the Mouse Pad (the 3rd grade computer lab) every Tuesday.

After their assignment in Mouse Pad they have the opportunity to read and test in the computer lab.

 

Our 2nd nine weeks AR goal was given to the students on Monday, October 20th. They should have it written in their planner and their AR folder.

 

Each student has to meet 3 out of four AR goals to go to our big AR bowling party in May!
